Why are some jackpot prizes paid as annuities?

Our current business model enables us to continue offering large, life-changing jackpots worldwide through a combination of insurance and the “alternative service” referred to in our customer information.

Annuity payments help us continue to make these substantial jackpots available. Where applicable, the jackpot is paid through a series of scheduled payments rather than as one single lump sum.

Annuity payment plans have been long-associated with lotteries from the American lotteries US PowerBall and MegaMillions to EuroDreams.
