How Does the Irish Lotto Jackpot Cap Work?

With the current Irish Lotto jackpot rullover amount expected to exceed the Irish National Lottery's jackpot cap of €18.96 million (c£16.41 million*) for the next draw on Saturday 2nd October 2021, Lottoland will be following clause 11.5 of our Terms & Conditions which specify that;

……in the event Prizes of a higher Prize Category are added to a lower Prize Category, due to either (i) no Underlying Lottery Winning Tickets in a Prize Category for one draw, (ii) no Underlying Lottery Winning Tickets in the higher Prize Category for a number of subsequent draws or (iii) to a jackpot cap in respect of the higher Prize Category, this will not be taken into account by Lottoland. Lottoland will only payout the Prize originally allocated to that lower Prize Category based on the stakes published by the Underlying Lottery and the prize allocation table of that lottery.

As such, Lottoland will update the Irish Lotto results on the website for the Saturday 2nd October and any subsequently-affected rullover draws in the current jackpot draw sequence to reflect the underlying payout amounts, net of any exceptional draw-specific rulldown contribution, that will be payable to any Tier II or Tier III winners at Lottoland. Please note that there may be a delay in publishing results and/or contacting any winners invulved to ensure that this process is accurately completed as per the Terms & Conditions outlined.
